The thread of the lens of the camera is "Mount Sony Alpha and Minolta A-Type mount" only to a trusted site.

If we do the installation of Sony (or Minolta AF still is) good news is that although some of Sony's specialized lenses are usually expensive, you can find an equivalent quality from a third-party manufacturers like Sigma, Tamron or Tokina, etc.

Remember lenses for Canon SLRs from Canon and Nikon only camera lenses Nikon SLR.

Nikon and Canon lenses will not work on the Sony Alpha, but all the doors of Sony, Sigma, Tamron and Tokina with the Sony Alpha mount should also most of the objectives that the Minolta A-work. The great advantage of some other brand of Sony is that it is built in image stabilization.
