Allows the 1600SW to work with DVI Mac

Additional Information:

Silicon Graphics 1600SW display probably sitting somewhere in your home or office, the clipboard as expensive because of the lack of compatibility. Enter SGI Saver. SGI Saver is a DVI-LDI adapter that you drive the older Silicon Graphics (SGI) 1600SW displays (1600x1024 resolution 17 "diagonal) with a DVI port on your PC or Mac PowerBook (may contain AC adapter). ADC may also be used (with optional DVI Extractor II).

SGI Saver is also compatible with ProVitron Formac 18/500 (identical) with the 1600SW Seagate sold in a package with a dedicated graphics card Formac under its own label. These special programs Formac video cards work with Mac OS X 10.2 - it took QuickDraw acceleration and was then very slowly. However, the Formac card is no longer on Panther (OS 10.3), where a migration is inevitable in a modern card with DVI SGI sheet.

You can usea DVI connector on most graphics cards PCI-Express now and future generations. Some have more AGP cards come with DVI and the new standard for graphics cards.
